Temple of Galaxia

“One of the 10 principles of Burning Man is radical inclusion so it was important to design a space that had no doors, no walls, no hierarchy, linking us with each other and to the wider universe above”

Timber - trusses

The triangular trusses are constructed by 20 giant parts of timber trusses that twist and converge towards one point in the sky. Inner-Truss component to support and locked the higher parts in place. The spiral staircase is hanging by the inner-structure.

03

Main-Structure Truss & Node

A bezier pattern formed spiral curves and each part of the triangular truss consists of 6 types of timber components. They are connected with metal parts and fixing straps. Elevated and Rotated the spiral based on the number of Petals and caught the node data.

04

Scenario :

Spiral Path

The idea is to create opposite Spiral Stairs in the space under the Temple, suspension on the structural node, like a floating path and beginning of the flame.

Internalization the shape
of the Temple

Upside down the unit to create a path toward the sky

People could get involved in the project and overlook the land through the staircase
